To better promote free speech, assembly, and press rights, we seek to further understand censorship in all its forms.  Only when we understand the threats to our freedoms can we protect us from them.

Our current three areas of focus in our research programs are:

  1. Creating a peaceful protest and keeping the protest peaceful.
  2. Police response to peaceful protests and riots.
  3. How the police should respond to peaceful protests.

The first publication to be released under our research program is slated to be published this winter.  Titled, The Psychology of Riots, this paper explores recent advancements in psychological fields involving the actions of individuals, crowds, and individuals in crowds.  These advancements are then applied to past riots, that started as peaceful protests, to provide a better understanding for what went wrong and how we can prevent similar situations in the future.
